Blue Dart Express announces resignation of Chairman Prakash Apte due to health reasons, effective April 13, 2026.
Blue Dart Express Limited has announced that Prakash Apte has stepped down from his role as Chairman and Independent Director, effective April 13, 2026, citing health concerns.
Prakash Apte is a corporate leader with over four decades of experience across the chemicals, pharmaceutical, and agriculture sectors. Over the course of his career, he has held key roles at Ciba Geigy, Novartis, and Syngenta, where he served as Managing Director in India from 2000 to 2011 and later as Chairman.
He also led the Syngenta Foundation India and has been associated with initiatives focused on vocational training. Apte previously served as Non-Executive Chairman of Kotak Mahindra Bank until 2023 and continues to serve on the boards of several listed companies and financial services firms.
He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Pune and a diploma in business management from University of Mumbai. He has also completed executive education programmes at Harvard Business School, INSEAD, and IMD Lausanne.
