J.K. Cement Limited has announced the appointment of Alok Dhir as Non-Executive Independent Director (Additional Director) on its Board, effective November 1, 2025, pending approval from shareholders.
Dhir is the Managing Partner of Dhir & Dhir Associates, a leading New Delhi–based law firm, and the promoter of one of India’s first private sector Asset Reconstruction Companies licensed by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). With over four decades of experience in corporate, commercial, and civil law, he specialises in corporate and financial restructuring, insolvency, takeovers, mergers & acquisitions, and banking law.
A Chartered Accountant and a distinguished lawyer, Dhir has worked extensively with regulatory bodies and government agencies on cross-border insolvency frameworks and has served on multiple national committees, including those of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
He is widely recognised as one of India’s leading experts in restructuring and insolvency law, having received several professional accolades and consistently featured among India’s top lawyers in the field.
